We all all know that the LG C2 is a brilliant TV, but does it support 1440p?

If you’re a gamer you ideally want your TV to support 1440p at a decent refresh rate of at least 60Hz. The LG C2 goes above and beyond, supporting 1440p at 120Hz meaning it is a great TV for fast-paced games.

It’s worth noting that the LG C2 is a 4K TV, though 1440p can be set via Settings, essentially used as a 1440p monitor.

When it comes to gaming, we’d say this should be welcome news for Xbox Series S owners, as the console can output in 1440p at high framerates.

The same also goes for PS5, which had 1440p support ‘activated’ not too long ago.

Is LG C2 good for gaming?

The LG C2 is a great TV for gaming, as our friends at WePC agree with their in-depth review.

Typically, we’d say to get the most out of an LG C2 TV, it would be best to pair it with a next-gen console or powerful PC.

But even if you’re using it with less powerful devices, like an PS4 or Xbox One, you’ll find the image quality looks excellent thanks to the impressive contrast and brightness.

Is using the LG C2 as a monitor a good idea?

We’ve established that the LG C2 supports 1440p, but is it a good idea to use it as a monitor?

The LG C2 ticks all the important boxes to effectively use your PC as a monitor. It has a low input lag, good reflection handling and nice wide viewing angles. This means you can perform every day tasks with minimal ghosting and blurring, which are common issues TV’s run into when being used as a monitor.

Whether it’s worth using as a monitor is another thing entirely though. We’d recommend looking at some of the best HDMI 2.1 monitors instead, as they can have various eye care solutions built in and can also be adjustable out of the box.
