Starfield is Bethesda’s latest game, and if it’s anything like their other recent games, it’s going to look fantastic. The game is highly anticipated, with fans looking forward to exploring space through the company’s unique RPG lens.

Many people out there will surely be wondering if their PC can handle running the game. We’ve had a quick glance at the game’s system requirements, and we’d recommend checking out the best graphics cards and the best CPUs for gaming in light of this. To run the game, it’s recommended you have at least a GTX 1070 Ti, but to enjoy an optimal gaming experience you’re going to want an RTX 2080.

These aren’t particularly low-end or cheap kits of hardware to come across, which means that this isn’t going to be a very easy game to run.

Starfield minimum system requirements

This is the bare minimum you’re going to need to run Starfield on your PC. You won’t have the best performance, and it’s likely you’re going to be limited in terms of resolution and frame rate. However, you’re going to be able to play the game – and that’s all that matters at the end of the day.

Starfield recommended system requirements

If you’re interested in playing Starfield with the recommended system requirements, you’re going to need an RTX 2080 or RX 6800 XT at the very least.

Alongside that, you’re going to need an Intel i5-10600K or Ryzen 5 3600X, both of which are pretty powerful processors. For both the minimum and recommended requirements, you’re going to need at least 16GB RAM, which has since become the new norm for gaming memory.

Can my PC run Starfield in 4K?

To run Starfield in 4K, we looked to AMD, the official partner of Starfield. They suggest that you use an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D with an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT graphics card if you’re the “absolute best Starfield experience in 4K.” For both those specs, you’ll also need an AMD X670 Motherboard.
