Best budget PS5 external hard drive – Crucial X6 SSD
This external SSD from Crucial offers impressive speeds and capacity sizes for a lower price than much of the competition.

The good news is that this didn’t have a significant impact on the price meaning that the deal offered here is sweeter than ever. There are, of course, sacrifices for this low cost. For example, while the SSD is very lightweight, this was partly achieved by swapping out the metallic outer shell of other Crucial SSD’s for a plastic one. This has decreased durability, though it is still rated for a drop of up to 2m onto a hard surface. There is also a three-year warranty.
Another catch is that Crucial didn’t change the product number when they increased the speed. This means you will have to check when you buy it that you are definitely buying the newer and faster version of this SSD.
