With the roadmap for MW2 Season 3 having already been revealed, a major element of the announcement that flew slightly under the radar were the Warzone 2 DMZ changes. Based on the details provided, Infinity Ward and Raven Software have given the exciting extraction mode’s system a significant a much-needed fresh coat of paint that will surely excite its fans.
With MW2’s multiplayer mode already receiving a ton of attention due to the inclusion of new 6v6 maps and the return of Gunfight, it was only a matter of time until the action-packed and often frustrating match offering was tinkered with as well. Some of the changes that are being made to the popular looter shooter include the addition of a Barter System and a Workbench, the introduction of a new Faction, and more.

Warzone 2 DMZ Season 3 changes
As mentioned before, the most significant Warzone 2 DMZ change was the addition of a Barter System and a Workbench. The former rewards players who are able to stock up on items during a match as they will now be able to swap them out for other valuable objects through Buy Stations. Unfortunately, the developers have noted that there is no peer-to-peer trading allowed through this system so you won’t be able to buy and sell materials from other operators.
The Workbench, on the other hand, are structures located near Buy Stations that allow users to modify Contraband weapons. For a small cash fee, this new feature will allow players to either add or remove unlocked attachments to their weapon of choice. The changes you made will also persist beyond the current match as long as you’re able to exfil successfully.
The developers are also introducing Active Duty Operator Slots to DMZ as part of Season 3. This mechanic essentially allows you to create several different builds that are tailored for a specific type of run whether it be for major story missions or Building 21 escapades.
Last but not least, another faction and new bosses are also being added into the game mode, though specifics are yet to be provided in the official announcement. However, they do mention that three of the faction mission tiers will be available at launch and two more will eventually be added in-season.
