While Remnant 2 isn’t fully released yet, players who pre-ordered the digital Ultimate Edition of the game have had the chance to dive into the game early. Despite players praising the highly anticipated souls-like sequel, console players are wondering why there isn’t an option to turn off the game’s motion blur despite Gunfire Games’ President stating otherwise just a month ago.
Previously, Gunfire Games President, David Adams stated on Twitter that “you can turn off motion blur.” However, console players have noted that this feature is absent on both Xbox Series S/X and PlayStation 5. It is possible that Adams was only referring to the PC version of the game and not consoles. Adams did also note in a following tweet that there would be “more cool stuff for post-launch” so it could be possible that the feature has been pushed to a post-launch update or even a day-one patch. However, this isn’t confirmed and we’ve reached out to Gunfire Games for more clarity on the feature’s absence.
Fans of the series also took to social media to note their disappointment at the revelation. One player said, “I just installed and started it, it’s not ff16 levels of bad but it’s pretty unfortunate we can’t turn it off. I’m thinking of just putting this on the backbones until it’s been fixed. I don’t need motion blur in a shooter.”
