No Man’s Sky is on its way to the Switch on October 7th, but it will only offer a single-player experience when it launches, with more to come.

Check out the game’s Switch Edition trailer below:

The description reads:

“Hello Games and Bandai Namco Europe today announce that the Nintendo Switch version of No Man’s Sky will be released worldwide on October 7th 2022. It will be available digitally through Nintendo’s own e-shop and physically through all good retailers. For the first time ever, a physical PlayStation 5 version will also be made available on the same day.”

So there you have it. Not only will Switch players be able to get their hands on a limitless galaxy while sitting on the toilet. PlayStation 5 players will now be able add the game physically to their shelving units.

No Man’s Sky first launched in 2016, on PlayStation 4 and PC, and on Xbox One two years later. In VideoGamer’s review of the game, Jamie Trinca said:

“The design decisions you can point to as flaws are always at least understandable. It’s full of great ideas and great moments, regardless of how long it takes for you to get fed up of them. So while it’s difficult to give it a glowing recommendation, it’s impossible to hate. On balance, it succeeds—for just long enough to be worth going in.”
