*LATEST* MW2 Twitch Drops And More

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is the latest Activision game to offer Twitch Drops, coming hot on the heels of a similar scheme in publisher stablemate Overwatch 2.

Players can earn a number of cosmetic items they can use in Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer just by watching their favorite streamer on broadcasting platform Twitch.

Here are the first of these drops that were available – let’s take a closer look.

MW2 Twitch Drops – When Can I Earn Them?

For the first campaign, players were asked to login to Twitch between October 28 through November 6, 2022, providing just over a week to earn some freebies.

Since the start of the new year however, MW2 live streams haven’t released many Twitch drops, even with the arrival of Season 02.

That said, Twitch drops did return for the Call of Duty League (CDL) Major 3 Tournament that took place last week. The CDL Major 3 Tournament streams ran for four days from March 9 through March 12, beginning each day at 10:30AM PT.

MW2 Twitch Drops – First Campaign

In the first campaign, there a were a total of four items up for grabs. Players could have unlocked each one depending on how long they watched a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 livestream for:

• Medallion 141 Weapon Charm – Unlocked at 15 minutes.
• Death’s Angel Calling Card and Emblem – Unlocked at 30 minutes.
• Something In My Teeth Weapon Sticker – Unlocked at 45 minutes.
• Watchdog 141 Weapon Blueprint – Unlocked at 60 minutes.

MW2 Twitch Drops – CDL Major 3 Tournament

There a were a total of 12 items fans could have secured had they tuned in for the CDL Major 3 Tournament livestreams. Down below we list all of the rewards players could have unlocked depending on when and how long they watched the Call of Duty League livestreams for:

Thursday, March 9

• 60 Minute Double XP Token & 60 Minute Double Weapon XP Token – Unlocked at 1 hour.
• Smoked Em’ Calling Card – Unlocked at 1 hour 30 minutes.

Friday, March 10

• 60 Minute Double XP Token & 60 Minute Double Weapon XP Token – Unlocked at 1 hour.
• Reverse Sweep Calling Card – Unlocked at 1 hour 30 minutes.
• Ninja Defuse Emblem – Unlocked at 2 hours.

Saturday, March 11

• 60 Minute Double XP Token & 60 Minute Double Weapon XP Token – Unlocked at 1 hour.
• Baited Calling Card – Unlocked at 1 hour 30 minutes.
• S&D Star Emblem – Unlocked at 2 hours.

Sunday, March 12

• Big Tex Emblem – Unlocked at 1 hour.
• Ride Em’ Cowboy Calling Card – Unlocked at 1 hour.
• 60 Minute Double XP Token & 60 Minute Double Weapon XP Token – Unlocked at 1 hour 30 minutes.
• Round 11 Star Emblem – Unlocked at 2 hours.

MW2 Twitch Drops – How Do I Earn Them?

To earn your Modern Warfare 2 Twitch drops – you’ll need to go through a few steps. First off, you will need to make sure you’re signed up with a Call of Duty account.

If you’ve done that, you will need to then make sure you have a Twitch account and that it’s linked up with your Call of Duty account. You can do that via this page here.

Keep in mind, if you’ve linked your account prior to October 10, 2022, you’ll have to link your account once more to be eligible, as the system was updated for the new game.

Once that’s all done, simply watch any Call of Duty streamer with Drops Enabled on Twitch.tv for the times described to earn your items.

MW2 Twitch Drops – How To Claim?

Once you’ve racked up enough watch hours, head to your Drops Inventory page on Twitch. You should see your items with either a “Connect” or “Claim Now” button.

Click this button – and connect if you haven’t. The items should then appear in your game inventory within a few days after you’ve earned them.

Be warned – these Twitch Drops might take some time before they appear in your account. But if you were logged into the game before you claimed them, make sure to restart the game first.
