Fortnite fans think that a totally new map is coming to the battle royale, as claimed by datamined files and a leaked loading screen (via Eurogamer).
Over ten Seasons, Fortnite’s map has morphed and metamorphosed, adding new points of interest and themed events to the game for players to grapple with. Most recently, these have been the Rift Zones that have brought back previously destroyed locations like Greasy Grove and the Motel, and included crossovers with the Wild West, Borderlands, and Gotham City. But, the lie of the land has always stayed the same, and these changes have either been temporary or affected just one part of the island.
Gonna go ahead and say a new map is likely, or atleast a massively changed one
Kinda proof is in the reply to this https://t.co/Gv8UzgEXKW

This could change however, as fans have discovered a list of 10 new locations through datamining. The alliterative areas contain places like ‘BeachyBlufs’, ‘FrenzyFarm’, and ‘SlurpySwamp’, and are never-before-seen names in the game. Furthermore, a leaked loading screen for Season 10’s final week shows characters waving to a battle bus that appears to be sailing off into the sunset.

Given that the Rift Zones have twisted time for a trip down memory lane, it would be a fitting farewell to the island after two years of utter, utter chaos. Or, these could be totally new locations on the same island after the Rifts send us way back in the past or flying into the future, before or after the familiar locations came to be. In any event, Epic Games has not confirmed a new map and these are datamined leaks, which may have been changed or abandoned for a different direction by the time they were discovered.
Fortnite Seasons last approximately 10 weeks, so the current season would come to an end in the first week of October. If the new map is legit, it could arrive with Season 11, which would start a few days after Season 10 concludes. We’ll sit tight and wait for a news update, but until then, there’s plenty to do in Gotham City.
Fortnite is out now iOS, Android, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch.
