With FIFA 23 around the corner, the closed beta is the first time fans will get hands on with the game – it’s been revealed how big the download size is for PS5, with Xbox and PC to come soon.
FIFA 23’s Closed Beta arrives today, expected to kick off around 17:00 GMT / 10:00AM PDT / 12:00PM ET. It will run until September 1st.
This is the first wave of invites.
Hence why people may be confused as to why they haven’t received an invite yet. Keep your eyes peeled onto them emails!

PS5 and Xbox Series X/S Closed Beta download size is revealed
Before you get to play however, you’ll need to download the game too! However a suppose leaked picture of the download page on PS5 has seemed to release, and it’s quite a hefty download!

We now know however, that the PS5 download is 51.19 GB.
Also, we now know that Xbox Series X/S is 44.68 GB, just little bit under PS5’s however almost exact same!
For PC, we could predict that the download size could be as similar size or roughly around it. Same can be predicted for the current gen consoles including PS4 and Xbox One.
How will you know if you’re selected for the FIFA 23 Closed Beta?
If lucky, EA would of sent out codes to selected players in different regions. You would of needed to opt in to get EA emails too.
Make sure your EA account is also linked your primary e-mail address so you don’t lose it!
The codes are currently only for PlayStation and Xbox systems.
With it being the first wave of invites, PC may get entry into the second wave of invites if EA have allowed a PC port to be accessible for closed beta.
How to download FIFA 23 beta?
Once you’re able to retrieve your code, here’s how you can activate it on PlayStation
- Select PS Store when logged into your account
- Redeem the code at the top of the menu
- Enter it, once entered you’ll be granted access to download the beta.
