We’re fast approaching the release of a brand-new football game, which has fans of the FIFA series excited to see what EA Sports churn out with the shackles removed. The EA Sports FC 24 release date is getting closer, and the announcement of another multi-year partnership with a major league shows that those looking for realism within the title will have nothing to fear.

The Eredivisie is the latest league to join the club, renewing its partnership with EA Sports to ensure the top tier of Netherlands football is catered for in the upcoming game. With exciting talent calling the Eredivisie their home, this will come as great news to Career Mode aficionados looking to pick up the next big thing in world football, as well as Ultimate Team fanatics who love to field a side that doesn’t conform to the meta.

On the renewal of the partnership, David Jackson, VP Brand, EA Sports FC, had this to say: “The Eredivisie maintains a very special place in the world of football. With incredible talent and emblematic clubs that are known across the globe, the league is a leader in the development of elite players and coaches. Our renewed partnership underlines a commitment to continually offer the most authentic interactive football experiences in the world. We are excited to further enhance our cooperation with a league that has been a part of the EA SPORTS family for so many years.”

With Ajax, PSV, and Feyenoord among the 18 teams in the Dutch top tier, there is plenty of history to be found in the league. It is a breeding ground for upcoming talent, with the likes of Xavi Simons and Jurrien Timber looking to follow in the footsteps of Ryan Gravenberch and Cody Gakpo to secure a big move to one of the elite clubs in Europe.

The Eredivisie is the latest on the list of EA Sports FC 24 licences, as the company continues to strive for unrivaled authenticity in its football game. After the news that EA and FIFA would part ways, many feared that EA’s next football title would be plagued with generic teams, kits, and players, however, there was no need to worry!

“Our unique licensing portfolio of more than 19,000+ players, 700+ teams, 100+ stadiums and 30 leagues that we’ve continued to invest in for decades will still be there, uniquely in EA SPORTS FC. That includes exclusive partnerships with the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, the MLS – and more to come,” reads the official statement.

In fact, the loss of FIFA as a partner only means the major loss of the licensed World Cup in-game every four years and the FIFA name in the title. EA Sports has worked hard to build up an exclusive portfolio over the years, including all five of the major European leagues.

That has been expanded upon in recent times, with the inclusion of women’s football as one of the biggest areas of growth. The Women’s Champions League, Barclays Women’s Super League, NWSL, and D1 Arkema are all confirmed for EA Sports FC 24, with more expected to join.
