The arrival of the Lightfall expansion to Destiny 2 has introduced several new features to the ever-popular multiplayer FPS title, one of which is the divisive Strand subclass. Although some players seem to think that this branch isn’t as viable as some of the others, several fans are satisfied with the unique abilities that they offer.

Numerous users are praising the Titan Berserker in particular, which is the Strand subclass of what many consider as the “Tank” in the game. For those unfamiliar, these behemoths have the ability to transform Strand into dangerously sharp claws that they can then use to tear their enemies apart. They also have a useful Aspect called Drengr’s Lash that enables them to suspend and disable enemies, making it easy to pick them off.
Their talent for crowd control is seemingly this subclass’s most beloved feature as many fireteams are now apparently looking for Berserkers to join their group in order to make use of it. Pair that with their Bladefury Super and grenade ability and no enemy horde will be able to stand in their way.
Some users have even been able to finish most of what Lightfall has to offer by mainly using the Titan Strand subclass. One specific commenter said that they “just CC [their] way through all the content right now. They then go on to note that they can keep anything in front of them locked down by simply using grenades and the Titan class ability.

Seeing as how the Berserker’s abilities translate incredibly well in PvE scenarios, there’s no doubt as to why it has now become a staple inclusion in most fireteam compositions. Hopefully though, Bungie doesn’t unnecessarily nerf this popular subclass in a future update.
