It was always assumed that Assassin’s Creed: Mirage would be vastly shorter than its predecessor, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, and with the Ubisoft Bordeaux-led project looking to bring the series back to its roots Ubisoft have confirmed that the full game will take between 20-30 hours. With completionists taking around 25-30 hours to complete the full game that makes Assassin’s Creed Mirage five times shorter than Valhalla when comparing completion times.
In an interview with French YouTuber Julien Chièze, lead producer on Assassin’s Creed: Mirage, Fabian Salomon, confirmed the length of the game saying, “The latest playtimes we’ve received average at around 20–23 hours. That can go up to 25–30 hours for the completionists, and we’ll say that those who will be rushing the game will be around 20 hours.”
Earlier this year when speaking to GamesRadar, the creative director on the project, Stéphane Boudon, noted Ubisoft Bordeaux’s desire to capture the essence of the original Assassin’s Creed games. He said, “Amongst our fans, we started hearing the desire for a character-driven story, focused on the core pillars of the first Assassin’s Creeds in a more intimate scale. It resonates with us as well as developers and this was the starting point of the project.” This appears to be the case still as Mirage’s playtime harkens back to the original games which would take about 40 hours to complete fully.
Fans of the original Assassin’s Creed games will likely have a lot to look forward to with the Assassin’s Creed Mirage release date rapidly approaching. However, this isn’t the only recent news to come out surrounding Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Ubisoft strangely announced an OWO suit that would be compatible with the next entry in the Assassin’s Creed series. Alongside this, Fans think Assassin’s Creed Mirage must take this one feature from Unity for it to succeed.
