Since NBA 2K24 broke the news about its new cover athlete in July, more reveals and details have been starting to arrive as 2K Day draws closer. Although NBA 2K23 is still going strong, fans have started to divert more of their attention towards NBA 2K24, and the new player ratings are one of the biggest points of interest.
The NBA 2K24 release date is less than a month away and the reveals will be coming in hot and heavy as the weeks go by in August. NBA 2K24 ratings reveal schedule
Unlike last year, where NBA 2K23 had a specific ratings reveal period closer to 2K Day, NBA 2K24 opted to do things differently this year by trickling out certain player ratings throughout these past two and half weeks. At the time of this writing, NBA 2K24 has revealed its official Top 10, Cover Athlete Sabrina Ionescu’s new rating, several rookie ratings, and a handful of notable NBA and WNBA stars as well.
However, based on what we’ve seen so far, these are by no means the last rating reveals for NBA 2K24, as more will likely continue to take place leading up to its launch in September. But while we wait for the remainder to arrive, here’s a look at some predictions we have along with a handful of the latest confirmed reveals NBA 2K24 has announced so far.
NBA 2K24 upgrades
Arguably the most intriguing part about discovering the new player ratings in NBA 2K, is seeing which stars made big leaps from their previous overall ratings to the new ones they will have this year. Although a handful of different factors are taken into account when deciding who deserves to receive the biggest upgrades, the performances from the season prior certainly play the greatest role in which players receive a boost in overall rating.
Throughout the 2022-23 NBA season, several stars stood out and separated themselves from the pack with some incredible performances. This was put on display firsthand by Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who was selected First Team All-NBA, to last year’s Rookie of the Year Award Winner in Orlando Magic power forward Paolo Banchero. In short, there’s many players that could see some significant boots in NBA 2K24. But of all of them, who will have the biggest upgrades this year?

The NBA 2K24 player rating upgrades tend to be the first thing many fans are interested in, and understandably so. But what’s just as important is the downgrades certain players receive because it sheds light on which talents might not be as effective as they once were a year ago.
