MW3 leaks (2023) – every leak and rumor we know so far

MW3 leaks have now started arriving in droves as the launch of the next CoD installment steadily approaches. However, since Activision or Sledgehammer Games haven’t actually confirmed these details yet, we recommend taking these details with a pinch of salt for the time being.

But despite these rumors’ lack of legitimacy, the influence these leaks have had on the player base is doubtless as the excitement for the follow-up entry is starting to reach an all-time high ahead of the Modern Warfare 3 release date. With that said, we’ll be taking a look at all of the information that’s been unofficially uncovered so far to keep you up to date with the latest MW3 news.

MW3 pre-order leaks

CoD data miners have uncovered details on the MW3 Vault Edition contents, and those willing to shell out more money than usual are in for a treat. Based on a post by notable leaker HeyImAlaix, the next entry’s premium offering will reportedly include the Nemesis Operator pack, which includes new skins for Ghost, Price, Warden, and Makarov. It will also allegedly contain two new Weapon Vaults, an accelerated Season 1 Blackcell battle pass, early access to the Campaign and Open Beta, and a Soap Operator pack, which you can also use in MW2.

Since the official release of the pre-order page, they have confirmed that players who purchase the Vault Edition of the game will have access to:

• Early Access to the Campaign
• Early Beta Access
• 2 New Weapon Vaults
• New Operator Skins (Nemesis Operator Pack & Soap Operator Pack)
• BlackCell (1 Season) + 30 Additional Tier Skips
• +5 battle pass tier skips (PlayStation only)

MW3 operator leaks

Based on the previous Vault Edition leak, the next CoD instalment will apparently be introducing two new operators. Makarov and Warden will could join the roster as new skins in the game’s premium bundle. They will likely introduce more characters in the future since past Modern Warfare 3 operators like Frost and Roach have yet to make their appearances.

According to HeyImAlaix on Twitter, Soap will also be returning in MW3, as he’ll allegedly have his own Operator Pack that’ll be available to those who pre-order the game. This was confirmed with the MW3 pre-order bonuses that showed the option to unlock a Soap skin.

MW3 game mode changes

Of course, there will also be a variety of new game modes with the most popular being the MW3 Zombies mode. A recent Activision blog post has confirmed that it will be the series’ “largest Zombies offering to date.” And based on a past Insider Gaming article, this undead match type will model Black Ops Cold War’s Outbreak mode.

With this in mind, the upcoming offering featuring mobs of the walking dead will essentially resemble MW2’s DMZ extraction mode. In this mode, you’ll have the chance to explore the map while looting and shooting down would-be attackers. For this reason, some CoD influencers, such as ProReborn, have reported that DMZ will be taking a “back seat” for the foreseeable future. It’s currently unclear, though, whether this will be part of the base game or if it will be a free-to-play entry instead.

MW3 weapon vault leaks

We’re back to HeyImAlaix for this one, as it appears that Modern Warfare 2’s Weapon Vault system is returning for the sequel. However, this time those who pick up the MW3 Vault Edition will nab themselves not one but two Weapon Vaults. The screenshot doesn’t appear to give much more details on these new weapon vaults, but we’ll update once we know the details.

MW3 perk leaks

According to a now-deleted tweet from notable CoD leaker BobNetworkUK, MW3’s perk system will allegedly be revamped. Instead of making each perk equippable on its own, they will now feature them together with unique pieces of gear, which you can use to outfit your operator. Naturally, the MW3 perks list will feature various traits, though the ever-reliable Scavenger perk will reportedly be returning.

MW3 QoL changes

One of the QoL changes that is allegedly being introduced in MW3 is an increase to your health in multiplayer. According to a post from CoD leaker elbobberto, instead of starting out with 100 HP, all players will now begin each match with 150 health, meaning taking down players will be much harder than before. They will reportedly introduce another improvement: Tactical Sprint will apparently recharge automatically while regularly sprinting.
