Modern Warfare 3 (2023) is less than three months away from release and Modern Warfare 2 (2022) continues to frustrate many players. With Season 5 underway, MW2 fans are still putting up with Modern Warfare 2.
There’s a lot to like about MW2’s multiplayer and all the craziness that comes with it. However, oftentimes the game’s effects can get in the way of a close victory or even cost you a match. If you don’t already know how to instant drop shot in MW2, be sure to learn how as it’ll come in handy.
MW2 fans want less smoke
A recent post on the official MW2 subreddit from a Reddit user named ‘Ako1903‘ shows how uncomfortable the distortion effects can be in the game.
The player took to the subreddit to post a gameplay of the game where they couldn’t spot the enemy they were firing at due to the smoke.
“I literally didn’t see the enem[ies] I killed here. Just praying and shooting red diamonds at this point,” wrote Ako1903.
“I hope MW3 can cut back on the smoke and dust and other distortion effects. At least with battle-hardened equipped.”
Screen shake in MW2
Another user with the name ‘skippythemoonrock‘ commented on the post saying, “Also just the insane screenshake, everywhere, constantly.”
The smoke and screenshake features have always been in MW2 many players have often got through just fine. Considering there’s no option to reduce the smoke effects in the game, it’s unclear whether Activision will be announcing an update to solve the issue, especially with the upcoming launch of Modern Warfare 3 in November.
