What is Cutthroat mode in MW3?
Cutthroat mode is a new match offering that pits your team of three against two other separate trios. Once available, this 3v3v3 mode will likely be playable on a variety of different MW3 maps, such as the revamped Favela, Terminal, and Skidrow locations. Based on Activision’s official announcement, this match type could possibly feature a competitive mode as well that matches you up against teams of equal or greater skill.
With the Modern Warfare 3 release date still far off, however, information remains scarce on the newest offering. But despite the lack of details, a 3v3v3 experience is surely one that fans will enjoy playing in as the smaller, yet somewhat similar Gunfight mode remains one of the most popular match types in Call of Duty.
Now, this isn’t the only mode that Sledgehammer Games featuring in MW3. Other classic multiplayer staples like Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, and Team Deathmatch will also be making returns. But despite these fan-favorite match offerings set to make a re-appearance, none may be as exciting as the upcoming Cutthroat mode where each kill becomes even more important than usual.
