Nicki Minaj release date in MW2
The Nicki Minaj skin in MW2 was released on August 24, 2023 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Snoop Dogg and 21 Savage will also be purchasable as part of Season 5 which is currently underway. It’s worth noting, though, that all three superstars were not made available at the same time. Snoop Dogg’s bundle was released as part of the launch window while Nicki Minaj will be made available in-season. 21 Savage rounds off the three currently announced hip-hop superstars set to arrive as part of Season 5 Reloaded.
For now, only Snoop Dogg’s skin is currently available in the game. However, the two other hip-hop artists are expected to release shortly after Season 5 takes off. So it’s only a matter of time before you can get your hands on the Nicki Minaj skin.
How to unlock Nicki Minaj skin in MW2
You can get the Nicki Minaj skin by purchasing the Operator bundle in the CoD store. Once available, it will likely cost around 2,400 CoD points. Buying the bundle will also give you access to a pink Assault Rifle Weapon Blueprint. You can use it across all game modes in Season 5.
This isn’t the first time Nicki Minaj has partnered with Activision to promote their FPS series. She also appeared in the Modern Warfare 2 ‘Squad Up’ launch trailer which dropped before the current CoD installment’s release.
All three artists are arriving in the game as part of Modern Warfare 2’s 50 Years of Hip Hop celebration. An in-game event is also currently running in the game where players can claim a number of free hip hop War Tracks just by logging into the game. However, it looks like Minaj won’t be arriving until at least after that event concludes. The season has revealed the next CoD game, with the MW3 reveal start time set for Thursday, August 17.
