Which NFL newcomers have the best Madden 24 rookie ratings? Over the course of June, EA Sports revealed a variety of new information pertaining to Madden 24 set to arrive later in August. The latest edition of Madden NFL has entered the final stages of its fine tuning process as it prepares for launch.
The Madden 24 release date is nearly upon us, meaning your time to pre-order the game is almost up. In the lead up to early access, Madden revealed its new player ratings, including the 99 club and best quarterbacks, of which Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes features in both.
However, a key group of player ratings that tends to intrigue fans most, is that of the new rookies. With each of them never playing a single NFL game, it’s always neat to see what Madden has them listed as before the season starts.

When it comes to rookie ratings, Madden tends to usually keep most of them (if not all) below the 80 overall marker seeing that these players have yet to prove what they can do over the course of a full NFL regular season.
This year, Madden 24 did have one of its rookies break the 80+ overall threshold, but surprisingly it wasn’t a QB. Down below, we provide our expert analysis on why each of the following players made the Top 15 rookie ratings list in Madden 24.
Bijan Robinson – 81 overall
The last time a running back was drafted in the Top 10 of a Draft, was back when the New York Giants selected Saquon Barkley in 2018. This speaks a lot of volume about the kind of running back Robinson could become, and if his college numbers are anything to go by, it makes sense why EA made him the best overall rated rookie in Madden 24 this year. In his final season at Texas, Robinson ran for 1,580 yards and 18 rushing touchdowns.
Will Anderson Jr. – 78 overall
Anderson, who was the best edge rusher from the 2023 NFL Draft class, should earn himself a 78 overall in Madden 24 to start the season. After coming away with 17.5 sacks as a sophomore for Alabama, Anderson followed that up with another 10 sacks in his final season in college.
Bryce Young – 74 overall
Bryce Young has the potential to be one of the new faces of the NFL in a matter of years. Young, who was the 2021 Heisman Trophy Winner, highlighted how elite he can be over his last two seasons at Alabama. Over 2022, he threw for 3,328 yards and 32 touchdowns with just five interceptions. Although low ratings for rookies are expected, 74 overall is way too low for Young, who should be either a 77 or 78 overall at the least.
