As the positive effects of Fortnite Chapter 4 continue, Epic Games continues to release great cosmetics. You can buy many outfits, back bling, harvesting tools, and other cosmetic items that you can use in both Battle Royale and Creative modes.

How To Redeem a Fortnite Gift Card (V-Bucks Gift Card)

V-Bucks gift cards, which you can buy at various tech stores, can only be used in Fortnite. These cards work on all platforms, but are only linked to a Fortnite/Epic Games account at the time of redemption.

For example, you will not be able to transfer the V-Bucks gift card balance that you used for your Fortnite PC account to your Playstation 5 or Xbox Series X account after it has been added to your account.

You will need an Epic Games account to redeem a V-Bucks gift card. Since Fortnite players already have this account, you only need to follow the steps below.

Learn how to redeem Fortnite V-Bucks gift cards here:

Open the official Fortnite website and log in with your Epic Games account.
Then hover over your name in the top-right.
Click “V-Bucks Card” in the drop-down menu.
Use the code on the card by following the instructions on the new screen.
Select the platform to which you want to add V-Bucks.

V-Bucks gift card balances used on PC, Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms are immediately available for use in-game.

Playstation and Xbox users, on the other hand, will need to activate a second code in their console’s interface after following the steps above. This code will be sent to you by Epic Games via email.

Note that V-Bucks can only be used for Fortnite and cannot be used to purchase games from the Epic Games Store. You can use your credit to unlock all rewards in Chapter 4 Battle Pass faster.

How To Redeem a Fortnite Gift Card – Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox

This’ll show you how to redeem your gift card on any given console or device. Whether that’s Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, or Xbox consoles, you can redeem your gift cards following these simple instructions.

Nintendo Switch

V-Bucks cards must be redeemed through the Epic Games Website. They cannot be redeemed on-device on Nintendo Switch.
A Nintendo Account is required to redeem your V-Bucks card for use on Nintendo Switch. If you do not have a Nintendo Account, you can create a Nintendo Account.

PS4/PS5

Visit the store on the left of the main menu and navigate to the ‘…’ icon in the top right, beside the basket.
Scroll down to “Redeem Code” and enter the 15-character code provided by Epic to claim the V-Bucks or skins.

Xbox

Press the ‘Xbox’ button on the controller to open the guide and select “Store.”
Press the “View” button to open the side menu
Scroll down to “Redeem” to enter the 25-character code.

How To Redeem a Fortnite Reward Code

Although Fortnite Reward codes and V-Bucks gift card codes are often confused with each other, they are actually two completely different things. We have explained above how you can redeem V-Bucks cards that you can spend however you want, even if it’s just in Fortnite.

Fortnite reward codes are sometimes distributed by Epic Games and sometimes by players in the community that unlock certain cosmetics. By entering these codes, you can add an outfit or back bling to your account.

Open the official Fortnite website and log in with your Epic Games account.
Then hover over your name in the top-right.
Click “Redeem Code” in the drop-down menu.
Enter the access code by following the instructions.
Select the platform to which you want to add the cosmetics.

That’s it! When you enter the next game, you can retrieve the reward defined by the code in your inventory. Note that you cannot return or exchange this reward.

How To Redeem a Epic Games Product Codes

Although Epic Games is best known for Fortnite, the company also has a store just like Steam. In the Epic Games Store you can buy and download hundreds of different games and get discounts on various games.

This is also where Epic Games product codes come into play. Unlike V-Bucks gift cards, the Epic Games Store lets you identify game codes that you have purchased on another platform (if they are compatible). Your game will then be linked to your Epic Games account and stored digitally forever.

Enter the product code distributed with a retail DVD or other Epic Games product code here.

That’s it! Make sure the account you entered the code for is correct, as the product code set for an account cannot be transferred later. Especially if you have two different Epic Games accounts.
