The Honkai Star Rail 1.3 release date has been confirmed. During the latest developer live stream showcasing new content coming to the game in version 1.3, Hoyoverse also detailed more information about character banners and the new characters we’ll see during the next patch.
The newest update, which is called “Celestial Eyes Above Mortal Ruins”, will see the release of two new five-star characters, a new area, an expansion of the Simulated Universe, and some superb quality-of-life updates to Honkai Star Rail. To top it all off, we know when the update will go live.

Honkai Star Rail 1.3 release date
Honkai Star Rail 1.3 update will release on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, according to the official announcement from Hoyoverse during a special live stream program showing off Fu Xuan, Imbibitor Lunae, and some nifty new events coming to the game.
One of the biggest announcements during the live stream program was the increase in your daily Trailblazer Fuel cap. If you’re familiar with Genshin Impact, this resource is effectively your Resin in Honkai Star Rail that you use to farm Relics, Trace materials, and so on.
After the release of 1.3, there will be a huge update to the Simulated Universe game mode, as well as an event that will reward you with a free copy of Sushang, a four-star Physical DPS character.
Honkai Star Rail 1.3 banners
With version 1.3, there are three new playable characters coming to Honkai Star Rail: Fu Xuan, Imbibitor Lunae, and Lynx. This banner will go live when 1.3 does, starting August 30 and should run until September 20.
The first phase of the 1.3 banners will lead with Imbibitor Lunae, a five-star Destruction character. In this banner, there will be a boosted drop-rate for the following four-star characters:
- Asta (Fire, Harmony)
- March 7th (Ice, Preservation)
- Yukong (Imaginary, The Harmony)
Phase two of 1.3 will introduce Fu Xuan, the new Quantum Preservation character. This banner will start on Wednesday, 20 September and run until October 10. During her banner, the new four-star character Lynx will debut, along with a boosted drop rate for:
- Hook (Fire, Destruction)
- Lynx (Quantum, Abundance)
- Pela (Ice, Nihility)
Honkai Star Rail 1.3 banners overview
The banner lineup for Honkai Star Rail 1.3 brings us the long-anticipated Imbibitor Lunae, the five-star version of Dan Heng. With Fu Xuan in phase two, this will mark the first five-star Preservation limited banner character other than Gepard. If you want a new tank, Fu Xuan should be high on your list.
Honkai Star Rail 1.3 start time – when does it go live?
Honkai Star Rail 1.3 should go live at 4 am BST on Wednesday, August 30 for those in the UK and 11 pm EDT / 10 pm CDT / 8 pm PDT for those in the US. This start time was announced by Hoyoverse during the live stream.
If you already play Genshin Impact, you’ll be familiar with the following schedule. In the United Kingdom, Honkai Star Rail’s updates occur Tuesday evenings, with the update going live around 4 am on a Wednesday.

Due to the timezone differences, the update will be available in the US from Tuesday, August 29, 2023. This is the typical release window based on how Honkai Star Rail updates have been released previously, meaning it will be ready to play on the morning of August 30 in the UK.
