After you open the Fortnite settings, follow the steps below for enable footsteps:

  1. In the seventh line, click on the speaker icon in the top menu.

  1. Move to the right in the upper menu with the RB button.

Thanks to this setting, you can now see the footsteps of your enemies as colored rings on your screen as soon as you hear them.

These rings indicate not only footsteps, but also gunshots. So every time you see a ring on your screen, it doesn’t mean that an enemy is on your side.

Although Switch isn’t one of the first platforms that come to mind when it comes to Fortnite, hundreds of thousands of gamers know how to have fun with their handheld console.

If you want to keep your competitiveness while having fun at the same time, you should see your opponents’ moves. This is how:

  1. Press the “+” button on your Switch and open the settings screen.
  2. Move to the right with the analog in the top menu.
