What will EA Sports FC 24 Nintendo Switch look like? If the rumours are to be believed, EA’s newest football title will be receiving a full revamp on the platform. The FIFA titles did not change much on Switch, but that’s in the past!
The early signs are that Switch players will have lots more options when playing EA Sports FC, even if it continues to be a Legacy Edition. The new title has brought plenty of uncertainty, but we will surely find out more as the release date approaches.
EA Sports FC 24 Nintendo Switch
In the past few years, EA has released a Legacy Edition of their FIFA title for Nintendo Switch. While still technically the same game, the Legacy Edition has been limited in its features, and very little has changed as the seasons passed.
The following game modes were available in FIFA 23 Legacy Edition:
- Career Mode
- Kick Off
- Local Seasons
- Online Friendlies
- Online Seasons
- Skill Games
- Tournaments (official and custom)
- Ultimate Team
However, EA is yet to confirm whether there will be a Legacy Edition for EA Sports FC. EA Sports FC 24 could be a much bigger and better version of the game than we have seen released previously, especially if the rumours are true.
The game is expected to launch on Nintendo Switch at the same time as on other platforms. This means it should be available in late September, in line with the release of previous FIFA titles.
Players on Switch could play the FIFA Legacy Edition in Handheld, Tabletop, and TV modes, making full use of the Switch’s adaptability. Joy-con support included Dual, Handheld, and Single configurations as well as Pro Controller, all of which we expect to see in EA Sports FC 24.

According to the leak, EA Sports FC 24 will see several new game modes added to the platform. While we aren’t 100% certain on what these game modes are or how they work, they are sure to bring new and exciting ways to play.
My Nintendo Switch Online / Career is said to be one of the new game modes. Could this be the first signs of an online career mode, or are these two separate modes? An online and a career mode would make the most sense, but we can dream!
It looks like EA will press on with the online route too. Nintendo Switch Online Co-op and Nintendo Switch Online Custom Match are also pencilled in to feature this year. With more ways to play than ever before, this could be the year for EA Sports FC 24 Nintendo Switch.
