EA Sports FC 24 MLS ratings – Messi leads top 10 predictions

The EA Sports FC 24 MLS ratings will be of particular interest this year for one reason, Lionel Messi. Arguably the greatest player of all time has joined David Beckham’s Inter Miami, but will he be the best player in FC 24?

The rating reveal will be a major part of the build up to the EA Sports FC release date. With the MLS and Saudi Pro League both making significant acquisitions plus the addition of female players, there will be more squad building options than ever before in FC 24 Ultimate Team.

Inter Miami’s attempt to recreate the great Barcelona team of a decade ago is sure to shake up the EA Sports FC 24 ratings stateside. Lionel Messi will undoubtedly come out as number one, and his teammates Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba are likely to come in second and third.

Rumours of Andres Iniesta and Luis Suarez joining would also see them enter the fray, with Suarez a strong candidate to be in the top five MLS players. We last saw Andres Iniesta in FIFA 22, and he is unlikely to have maintained his 79 overall if he does link up with his former teammates in Miami.

Last year’s top MLS players Lorenzo Insigne and Giorgio Chiellini should be in the mix. Italian veteran Chiellini could see a downgrade in FC 24. MLS legend Carlos Vela will also be a sure thing in the MLS top 10.

Lionel Messi – 90 overall

After producing 32 goals involvements in 32 Ligue 1 matches last season, Messi is sure to be one of the game’s top-rated players. The switch to the MLS could see his reign at the top of the ratings end, but we still expect the Argentine to be among the very best in FC 24.

Sergio Busquets – 84 overall

Spanish midfielder Sergio Busquets may be one of the most under appreciated players of all time. At 35 years old, Busquets may not possess the raw athleticism of the modern defensive midfielder, but his defending and technical attributes will still be among the best in FC 24.

Jordi Alba – 84 overall

After starting just 14 league games last season, Jordi Alba has called time on his spell at Barcelona. Once one of the game’s best left-backs, Alba’s pace could see a hit in FC 24 and he may even struggle to keep an 84 overall. We still expect Alba to be in the top three though!

Lorenzo Insigne – 82 overall

Lorenzo Insigne’s decline throughout FIFA 23 was steady. Having started with an 84 overall, the Italian winger now sits with an 82 overall. Still one of the league’s top players, Insigne’s 82 overall should see him in the top five players in the MLS in FC 24.

Carlos Vela – 81 overall

Mexican star Carlos Vela is something of an MLS legend. A stalwart at the top of the MLS ratings, Vela’s goal record speaks for itself. The influx of former Barcelona stars may see him shift down the pecking order, but he will still be competing at the top table.

The nature of the MLS means that the top players are often coming to the end of their careers. This is not ideal for FC 24 Career Mode managers looking for a future star, but there are some hidden gems to be found in the MLS. Argentine pair Thiago Almada and Alan Velasco both have high ceilings in the game and will be able to make use of most of the new FC 24 skill moves shown off the in Gameplay Deep Dive.
