EA Sports FC 24 Crossplay will feature in fan-favourite mode

What will EA Sports FC 24 crossplay look like? EA introduced crossplay to their FIFA franchise for the first time in FIFA 23, allowing players to play with or against players using a different platform. However, there were limitations as to what game modes crossplay is available in, and what platforms crossplay is compatible for.

There is one game mode in particular that is in desperate need of crossplay, and EA has answered the call. Ahead of the EA Sports FC release date, EA has confirmed crossplay will be more widely available when the new game launches.

EA Sports FC 24 Crossplay

EA Sports Fc 24 Crossplay will see a new mode introduced to its system. As of FIFA 23, crossplay was available for PS4 and Xbox One users to play together, and for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC players to connect. Although the game for Nintendo Switch is rumoured to be getting a revamp this year, there is no sign that the platform being included in crossplay.

Ultimate Team is the mode where crossplay is more prevalent as players can compete against one another in FUT Rivals, FUT Champions, and FUT Online Draft. Online Seasons and Online Friendlies also have crossplay matchmaking available.

Pro Clubs crossplay

It’s happening. Crossplay did not exist in FIFA 23 Pro Clubs. For whatever reason, the opportunity for crossplay in Pro Clubs never came to light, much to the disappointment of Pro Clubs fans everywhere.

However, EA has now confirmed that crossplay will be available in FC 24 Clubs. Before we get too excited, crossplay in Pro Clubs will have its limitations. Players will only be able to team up with other players using the same generation of console.

This mean that players using PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC will all be able to play together. This leaves PS4 and Xbox One users to team up. While this is not the perfect scenario, it is still a massive win for the mode.

Ultimate Team

The current crossplay options in Ultimate Team are listed above, however there is another element in FUT that uses a crossplay system. There are currently three FUT Transfer Market options, with individual markets for Nintendo Switch and PC players.

The main Transfer Market is shared among PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia users. Any listing on these platforms can be interacted with. This is the only element of crossplay in FIFA 23 that is cross-generation.

For the most part, the FUT Transfer Market has been fine this season so we see no reason to change things in EA Sports FC 24. Whether a change to Nintendo Switch occurs remains to be seen though as a revamp has been alluded to.

One new addition in Ultimate Team could be the introduction of co-op FUT Moments. This addition has been leaked by several sources on Twitter, and could be added to the list of modes compatible with EA Sports FC 24 crossplay.
