On the hunt for Diablo 4 Silent Chest locations? Dotted around Sanctuary is a curious type of chest that only opens with Whispering Keys. This extra step to get them open translates to better spoils than your average chest so they are well worth tracking down if your character is looking a little drab on the gear front.
Though you’ll invariably come across a couple as you explore the Diablo 4 map, they remain fairly rare, so we’ll break down their exact locations in Sanctuary. To make finding them easier, it’s knowing how to get Murmuring Obols in Diablo 4 to make sure you’ve always got a Whispering Key from a Purveyor of Curiosities on hand. Also, keep track of the latest Diablo 4 Season 1 content. This will let you work on the Diablo 4 battle pass.

- Lake Klokova, Frigid Expanse, Fractured Peaks
- Dunes of Sorrow, Scouring Sands, Kehjistan
- The Devouring Moor, Fethis Wetlands, HawezarÂ
- Residential District, Caldeum, Kehjistan
Each of these is scattered across the game’s five regions. Read on to learn how to find these Silent Chest locations.
Mistral Woods, Gale Valley, Fractured Peaks
Head to the northernmost part of the Mistral Woods, then look for a small cul-de-sac to the east to find a Secret Chest. It’s just south of the path to the Darkened Holt where you find Neyrelle as part of the Wayward and Shroud of Horadrim quests.
Lake Klokova, Frigid Expanse, Fractured Peaks
This chest is on the banks of the westernmost point of Lake Klokova in Fractured Peaks. Head out into the Frigid Expanse through the northeastern exit of Kyovashad and head east through a traversal point, then continue east until you hit a large frozen over lake. The Silent Chest is nestled against a cliff.
Dunes of Sorrow, Scouring Sands, Kehjistan
In the desert north of Tarsarak, you’ll find a Silent Chest on the northern edge of a large chasm in the middle of the sand. You’ll recognise the chasm on the map as a big grey blotch in the middle of the desert. The Silent Chest is south of where you find Lorath and Meshif at the Forsaken Chapel for the Flesh from Bone quest.
The Devouring Moor, Fethis Wetlands, Hawezar
Take the road south out of the Ruins of Rakhat Keep and across the bridge into The Devouring Moor. Continue south until you reach a small settlement of crumbled ruins with enemies loitering around the area. The Silent Chest is at the centre of the ruins near a crumbled shack.
Residential District, Caldeum, Kehjistan
The Silent Chest is located in the southwestern corner of the Residential District of Caldeum. It’s next to a fountain soaked in blood and just below an ornate staircase. Your best bet is to seek out the Silent Chest as you’re completing The Jewel of the East campaign quest, specifically during the Slay the demons attacking Prava objective.
